Greetings from sunny San José!

Welcome to International Gateways at San José State University! Today, I invite you to learn more about our program.

Since 1975, our first program Studies in American Language (SAL) has offered students excellent English language instruction to meet their academic, practical and professional needs. Our classes provide a challenging academic curriculum complimented by field trips and activities to experience American culture firsthand. San José offers our students a comfortably mild climate and, on average, over 300 days of sunshine. The beautiful and charming cities of San Francisco and Berkeley, along with the stunning beaches of Santa Cruz and Carmel, are all within an hour of the SJSU campus.
